Job Description

Our client who is based in the East Rand of Gauteng has an opportunity for The Procurement Manager. The successful incumbent will be responsible for managing the procurement process for goods and services required by the organization. The duties and responsibilities will be as follows:

  • Strategic planning and development of procurement strategies
  • Analyze market trends and assess supplier performance to inform procurement decisions.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers
  • Draft, review, and manage contracts and purchase agreements
  • Ensure compliance with contract terms and resolve any contract-related issues
  • Oversee the procurement process, including requisition, purchasing, and receipt of goods and services
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and industry regulations
  • Conduct performance evaluations and manage professional development for team members
  • Prepare and present reports on procurement activities, performance, and savings
  • Other related duties

Qualifications

Degree/Diploma in Supply Chain Management or equivalent

Skills

  • Minimum 8 to 10 years of supply chain management related experience within an FMCG/Chemical environment
  • Minimum of 3 years at management level
  • Strong knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and techniques.

Salary / Package

R50k per month Neg depending on Experience
