PAIR Finance has been revolutionizing the digital debt collection industry since 2016 and is now active in a total of seven different European countries. With the help of our artificial intelligence, we assess the situation of our debtors individually and contact them fully automatically and yet personally. This enables us to achieve higher repayment rates without putting a strain on the relationship between the debtors and our clients. 

We are looking for an energetic and solution-oriented Senior Accountant (m/f/d) for our accounting department to support our finance team with international accounting, tax reporting and the automation and digitization of processes, among other things. Do

What you can achieve with us:

• Ensuring proper and timely international general ledger and asset accounting in accordance with commercial and tax law and monitoring of booking systems, invoicing and accounting
• Participation in the preparation of tax returns (VAT / ZM) of our German and foreign companies
• Independent preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB and IFRS
• Support in the automation and digitization of accounting processes and the introduction of new tools
• Audit of accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Sparring partner and first point of contact for other departments on accounting-related issues (e.g. invoicing, intercompany / internal accounting)
• Preparation of meetings with tax advisors / auditors, preparation of financial data for investor reports 
• Support in controlling and reporting, preparation of deviation analyses and development of recommendations for the further development of the key performance indicator system

What you should bring with you:

• Completed commercial training or a business studies degree or a comparable qualification, 
• Ideally, you have completed training as a tax clerk (m/f/d) or as an accountant (m/f/d)
• Several years of relevant professional experience as a financial or accounting clerk (m/f/d), ideally in a FinTech or startup 
• High level of expertise in accounting according to HGB and IFRS 
• High tech and number affinity as well as confident use of MS Office applications, especially Excel as well as DATEV, LucaNET, experience with Yokoy and cash management tools are an advantage
• Experience with accounting systems, DATEV is a plus
• Fluent German and very good written and spoken English skills are required 
• Experience in preparing monthly reports (BWAs) and annual financial statements in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB)
